The Coast Guard gives its members 10 days to appeal the denial of a religious accommodation request. That is a challenge considering the schedules guardsmen must keep.

The Coast Guard makes it impossible for a member to properly submit an appeal because it withholds all the information it reviewed. Service members must file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or Privacy Act request that takes 30 days or more to fulfill!

This is just one of the twisted tricks the Biden administration is pulling in its effort to purge the military of the faithful who love God and country.

Don* and Sherry* were forced into that difficult spot. The married couple had made a career of the Coast Guard, dedicating themselves and their marriage to protecting America’s shores. As committed Christians, their service to country was a calling.

When the shot orders came down, both Don and Sherry submitted religious accommodation requests.

Their chaplain, a plaintiff in our class action lawsuit, Navy SEAL 1 v. Austin, happened to be Don and Sherry’s chaplain on base. The chaplain explains what happened ...

The Department of Homeland Security (which oversees the Coast Guard) and the Coast Guard itself made clear that Don and Sherry would be kicked out of the military, losing not one, but both of their incomes.

Plus, says Chaplain Alexandro*, the “punitive nature of their looming discharge” would make it difficult to get a good job outside the Coast Guard, thanks to the negative status on their discharge forms.

Don’s job in the Coast Guard was already highly stressful. But then the Coast Guard locked both Don and Sherry down, refusing to allow them to travel to see friends, family and others in their support system. The Coast Guard went a step further, forcing Don to identify as “unvaccinated” before his entire crew, thus setting him up to be ridiculed for his convictions.

Chaplain Alexandro counseled the couple throughout this time. He gave his recommendation for a religious accommodation that the Coast Guard, DHS and Biden administration unlawfully refused to approve. Don told Chaplain Alexandro that “despite this pressure, he hoped to persevere.”

Tragically, Don took his own life February 22, 2022.

Sherry is now a widow, and is still receiving counseling from Chaplain Alexandro, who officiated Don’s memorial service. Sherry asked the chaplain to share their story in hopes that no other service men or women will be driven to suicide by the maniacal Biden administration.

Our military clients have the constitutional and legal RIGHT to refuse the COVID jabs. Court after court has made it clear to Joe Biden that his administration may not ignore or violate the First Amendment or the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993.

Yet another armed forces member is DEAD as a result of Biden’s lawlessness.
