WHITELIST INSTRUCTIONS:
MAKE SURE OUR EMAIL LANDS IN YOUR INBOX
Due to the filtering of email providers, our messages might be mistakenly sent to the spam/junk box instead of your inbox. Please follow the instructions below to add our email address(es) to your trusted list of contacts after subscribing. This process is known as "whitelisting." This will ensure you receive our messages in your inbox at all times.
Gmail
- Locate our email in your spam folder.
- Open the email.
- Click Report not spam on top of the email.
- Our email might also land in your social tab or promotion tab.
- To Whitelist:
- Click the gear icon in the top-right, and select See All Settings.
- Click the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
- Click Create a New Filter.
- In the pop-up window From field, enter @libertyaction.org, @lc.org, @LCAction.org, @libertyalert.org
- Click Create Filter.
- On the next screen, check "Never send it to Spam."
- Click Create Filter again.
Yahoo
- Locate our email in your spam folder.
- Open the email.
- Click Not Spam on the top toolbar.
Outlook
- Locate our email in either your Junk Email or the Other folder
- Open the email
- Right click on our email address on the email header to expand the drop-down menu
- Select Add to Favorites
AT&T, BellSouth & SBCGlobal.net
- Select Options > Mail Options > Filters > Add Filter.
- In the top row, labeled From Header, select contains from the pull down menu. Enter @libertyaction.org (for receiving LC email) in the text box next to the pull down menu.
- Move down to the bottom where there is the option Move the message to. Select Inbox from the drop-down menu
- Select Add Filter again
- Repeat step 2 to 4 to add the following domains:
AOL
- Locate our email in Spam
- Open the email
- Click Not Spam on top of the email
ProtonMail
- Select Settings and then Filters
- Under Allow List, select ADD NEW FILTER. Enter [email protected] (for receiving LC email) then select SAVE.
- Repeat step 2 to add the following email addresses:
Mac OS X Mail App
- In the Mac OS X Mail top menu, click Mail > Preferences.
- Click the Rules tab.
- Click Add Rule.
- Type a name in the Description field, such as "Whitelist: LC.org," to identify the new rule.
- For the conditions, set the first dropdown menu item to any, so that it reads: If any of the following conditions are met.
- In the next two dropdown menus, select From in the first, and Ends with for the second.
- In the text field following Ends with, enter @libertyaction.org
- Click the plus sign next to the last condition to add another domain with the same criteria to whitelist more domains. Do this for each of the following: @lc.org, @LCAction.org, @libertyalert.org
- In the Perform the following actions section set the three dropdown items to: Move Message, to the mailbox: Inbox.
- Click OK to save the rule.
- Close the Rules window.
