An 11-year-old student in Hattiesburg, Mississippi wrote a poem about Christmas but received a deduction for writing about Jesus. His teacher insisted that mentioning Jesus was not allowed and asked him to write a new poem. He turned in the original poem with his parents' approval.
Although the principal overruled the teacher and gave the student a grade of 100, the teacher refused to post any student poems as she had promised.
Christmas will become worthless in our Nation if we let our children forget that Jesus is the reason for the season. To learn the truth about the constitutional rights of students, order our informative booklet entitled "Students' Rights in Public Schools." Order your copy online or by calling 800-671-1776, for a suggested donation of $8.
Your donations will allow us to help more students, their parents and others who are at risk of losing their religious freedom.
