After an intense grassroots firestorm, the board of directors of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) has decided to postpone a vote to change the policy and allow homosexuals in the Scouts, including as Scoutmasters.

In just 36 hours, Liberty Counsel collected and hand-delivered more than 20,000 petitions to both the Boy Scouts of America’s executive offices in Irving, Texas, and to the hotel in Texas where the board convened for the meeting. Liberty Counsel joined 41 other pro-family organizations to place an ad in USA Today. Scouting families and concerned citizens placed innumerable phone calls and sent countless emails, urging the Boy Scouts of America to uphold moral standards.

Liberty Counsel will continue to gather petitions and present them to the BSA prior to their next meeting.

Please pray that the BSA demonstrates the strength of character that has made Scouts a bulwark in American culture.
