Believers from across the nation are gathering for tomorrow’s May Day prayer event. This national prayer meeting is assembling in our nation’s capital on May 1 from sunrise until 2:00 p.m. ET. Mathew and Anita Staver will join leaders of all houses of worship at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, to lead our country in a collective "mayday" call for the soul of our nation.
Organizers of May Day are asking you to get involved in this event. Those who cannot attend in person can join by calling in. The event will be broadcast live on GOD TV and can be viewed on DIRECTV channel 365 or online.
Mathew Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, commented: "The American Revolution was preceded by the Great Awakening. When the Constitutional Convention was about to disintegrate, the founders convened a prayer meeting, and a few weeks later the Constitution was born. Throughout our history, beginning with George Washington, our Presidents have called upon America to pray. America is a great nation because it has honored God. Today, we are calling upon all Americans to pray for our country in these uncertain times."
