San Francisco, CA – Liberty Counsel's Mat Staver responds to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals' ruling on Isaacson v. Horne striking down an Arizona ban on abortion after 20 weeks. Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief urging the court to uphold Arizona's law, which bans abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy and requires that women receive an ultrasound of their unborn baby at least 24 hours prior to an abortion.

"Abortion is the sacred cow of the secular progressives. They turn a deaf ear to advances in science and a blind eye to revelations of filthy abortion mills to advance their culture of death. This law was designed to protect women's health and preborn babies."

"The Arizona law, and laws like it around the country, would stop the likes of Kermit Gosnell from dismembering babies in the womb. Fully human babies, like the ones killed by Gosnell, are being killed by the hundreds every single day. And, according to this court, it is not only legal, but is a constitutional right. That is ludicrous!"

"Americans have to understand the reality of abortion: innocent unborn children are subject to excruciating pain as they are being torn limb by limb. This is not humane. This is not American!"

(audio clip) "What we ultimately need is a Supreme Court that will understand the rule of law, and abortion has no place in this jurisprudence. It's not a right under the Constitution. It is simply an invention of justices back in 1973."
