Today is the two-year anniversary of President Obama signing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law (better known as “ObamaCare”) and, ironically, the 237th anniversary of Patrick Henry’s “Give me Liberty or give me Death” speech.

In the time since ObamaCare was passed, we have seen devastating consequences financially and morally to our nation. It will bankrupt America and fundamentally change the role of government. This law is anti-life and anti-liberty. We are calling everyone across the nation to prayer for our country and the repeal of this law.

Liberty Counsel filed the first private lawsuit against ObamaCare on the same day it was signed into law. This is the only pending case that challenges both the individual and the employer mandates. It is being held at the Supreme Court pending the outcome in Florida v. United States Department of Health and Human Services, which originated in Florida and includes 26 states, in addition to the National Federation of Independent Businesses. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court will begin hearing oral argument.

The bipartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) determined that the cost of ObamaCare has doubled from the original figures to an estimated taxpayer burden of $1.76 trillion. With many families struggling to afford the current costs of insurance, this will have a devastating impact.

ObamaCare is a constitutional monstrosity. The Supreme Court would have to rewrite the Constitution and reinvent the federal government to uphold ObamaCare!
