Orlando, FL – Liberty Counsel celebrates the tenth annual Day of Purity on February 14. This event is a call for youth of all ages to purity. Liberty Counsel promotes students wearing white on this day to symbolize their support for the Day of Purity. You can visit the website, DayOfPurity.org, which offers a free planning guide, along with informative flyers on a variety of topics, a way to request a LivePure wristband and Day of Purity T-shirt, and links to other valuable resources. The Day of Purity presents the opportunity for millions of youth to stand up for self-respect and purity. International interest has grown to 37 countries with people who have reached out in support of the Day of Purity. Thousands of youth and people of all ages from around the world will celebrate the tenth annual Day of Purity.

The emotional, physical, and economic consequences of the sexual revolution are increasingly obvious. Depression is epidemic. “We would like to think of history as progress, but if progress is measured in the mental health and happiness of young people, then we have been going backward at least since the early 1950s,” Psychology Today reports. Research shows that sexually active teens are more likely to suffer with severe depression. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that antidepressants are the most frequently prescribed drug in America. One in four of America's sexually active teens has a sexually transmitted disease. The cost of treating sexually transmitted diseases in the United States is up to $15.5 billion a year, funded largely by taxpayers.

“While progressives seek to distort the differences between men and women, publically fund contraceptives and abortion, and elevate personal rights over marital responsibilities, Liberty Counsel and thousands of people around the world will recognize February 14, the Day of Purity, as a time to return to God’s plan for intimacy and oneness,” said Amber Haskew, Director of the Day of Purity.

Liberty Counsel is an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989, by providing pro bono assistance and representation on these and related topics.
