Liberty Counsel had a major victory in Giles County, Virginia, against the ACLU, which sued the school board for posting the Ten Commandments on a wall along with other foundational documents about law and government. The ACLU lost this battle. On the walls of the high school hangs the “Roots of Democracy” with a picture of the Ten Commandments and the words, “The values found in the Bible, including the Ten Commandments and the teachings of Jesus, inspired American ideas about government and morality.”
Liberty Counsel won a major case for Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) and Good News Clubs. The federal court of appeals ruled in our favor 3-0, and now the elementary students in Minnesota are taught about character and morals, and they hear the Good News.
Liberty Counsel distributed a copy of our “Patriot’s Handbook of Religious Freedom in Public Schools” to every public school principal in America. And our Tenth Annual Friend or Foe Graduation Prayer Campaign protected religious viewpoints in graduations throughout the nation. We defended the rights of students to attend a “See You at the Pole” prayer event in Virginia.
