Faith-based and policy organizations are urging Congress to block the proposed IRS regulations on 501(c)4 organizations that will silence these organizations on policy and political issues and candidates.

“The proposed regulation is perhaps the most brazen attempt by the Internal Revenue Service to silence the speech of 501(c)(4) organizations,” the organizations told Congress.

President Obama wants to silence the voices of millions of Americans who disagree with him and his policies. Prohibiting get-out-the-vote voter drives that merely seek to register more people to vote is un-American. Prohibiting nonpartisan voter guides that merely point out the voting record of candidates will have a disturbing effect on elections because people will not be able to learn about the positions of the candidates.

Pray that the IRS is not used to silence the voice of the people.
