Decoding the Monstrous 19-Pound, 1,990-Page, 400,000-Word Pelosi Bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is pushing for a floor vote as early as this week for the House version of the government healthcare takeover bill, H.R. 3962.

This bill is largely unreadable by the average voter. It is longer than Leo Tolstoy's ponderous book "War and Peace" and five times longer than the Old Testament! And this monstrosity is mostly written in "legalese."

The last bill (H.R. 3200) was over 1,000 pages. They didn't think Americans would read it, but we did, so they nearly doubled the size! Congress is being rushed to approve bills that no one can be expected to digest in just a few days.

This government takeover will be funded by alarming new taxes. The Congressional Budget Office estimated that the House program will cost $1.055 trillion in the next decade.

We already know that Pelosi's bill includes a so-called "public option" and taxpayer-funded abortions (page 110 requires abortion coverage). Pro-life members of Congress are facing intense pressure to shut up and go along with the big government healthcare takeover. The pressure to fall into line will be immense!

Between now and the time that votes are taken on these bills, we must have THOUSANDS OF PHONE CALLS AND FAXES flooding the Senate and House EVERY DAY.

Here is what you can do:

We need to make it clear that we will not accept ANY bill that funds abortions, limits our rights or imposes new taxes and burdens on the American people.

We know that this has been a long battle, but we simply cannot become "weary in well doing."  We cannot let up. The other side is mustering all of their strength to PUSH this monstrous government takeover of healthcare!

THANK YOU for your perseverance and God bless you!
