C-SPAN plans to record portions of The Awakening 2011, which will be held on the campus of Liberty University April 8-9. This would be the first time C-SPAN has come to Liberty University. More than 60 national speakers will make presentations at The Awakening 2011, which will include plenary sessions, panel discussions, breakout sessions, and live music by SonicFlood and other bands and singers. Virginia Considering Homosexual Adoption – Make Your Voice Heard Today!

Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is considering a regulation that would force even private, church-run adoption agencies to place children in homes with same-sex couples, where these vulnerable children will be influenced in their upbringing and education by practicing homosexuals. Here is an excerpt from the regulation. The new language can be found on page 257 under “B” of this link.

B. The licensee shall prohibit acts of discrimination based on race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, political beliefs, sexual orientation, disability, or family status to:

1. Delay or deny a child’s placement; or
2. Deny an individual the opportunity to apply to become a foster or adoptive parent.

VDSS is taking comments on this proposed regulation. You must post your comments TODAY and let them know that private agencies should not be required to place children with same-sex couples! Comment period ends today (Friday, April 1st ).
