This is beyond belief.

The United Nations has voted to make IRAN a vice president of the U.N. Nuclear Non-Proliferation Review Conference.

The world’s largest nuclear bad actor was placed on a key body whose task, as U.N. Secretary General Antonio Guterres once said, is to "put humanity on a new path towards a world free of nuclear weapons."

Yet Iran has violated every nuclear agreement and remains committed to developing nuclear warheads aimed at Israel and America.

The U.N. has put the fox in charge of the hen house. And you and I, as American taxpayers, are helping to pay for it.

We cannot continue to subsidize an international body that rewards terrorists and undermines our allies. Right now, your tax dollars provide 22% of the U.N.’s regular budget.

The U.N.’s mission is to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. Yet, they have given a leadership role to a rogue nation with zero intention of stopping its unlawful weapons program.

This is the same "moral" body that previously put Iran on its women’s rights committee — despite the regime’s history of using torture and violence against women.

Enough is enough.

Republicans have introduced a measure in the appropriations bill to defund this irrational organization. We must compel Congress to pass it before more damage is done.
