“Don’t let them take you inside!”

A desperate call for help came in early Saturday morning. A 16-year-old girl was being dragged, against her will, to Planned Parenthood for an abortion she did not want.

Thank the Lord one of our attorneys was able to drop everything and take her call. I’ll tell you the dramatic story of Nikki’s* rescue in just a moment. 

But first, research shows that nearly 70% of women are forced into aborting their child.

Dateline 7:26 a.m., Saturday: A Liberty Counsel attorney's cell phone started ringing. “Please help,” the caller frantically exclaimed. “There’s a 16-year-old being taken against her will for a forced abortion.”

Our attorney had just given a speech in June, in which he told the story of how we saved 17-year-old Kylie* and her baby from a forced abortion last fall. Kylie’s healthy, happy baby was born just before Independence Day, thanks to Liberty Counsel’s fast intervention.

A person at that June meeting listened ... and remembered.

When the sidewalk counselor received Nikki’s plea for help, she knew exactly who to call — Liberty Counsel. We reached out immediately and asked the girl if she needed help.

Nikki was in the back seat of a car, trying to hide the screen of her phone from the person forcing her to abort her child.

She could not talk, but she could text.

When asked, if she needed help to stop the abortion, Nikki texted, “YES!”

It was 8:54 a.m. and Nikki was frantic. "We’re currently on the way there” to the abortion clinic. We “will reach there at 9:04 am," Nikki texted. “I’m just afraid."

We had just 10 minutes to save a life.

Our Liberty Counsel attorney then quickly called the Planned Parenthood clinic and informed them that the forced abortion they had scheduled for Nikki was to be immediately canceled, and any further attempts to coerce the girl could result in litigation.

“Do NOT go in” to the clinic, our attorney texted back.

“No matter what you do, do not go in! And if you are somehow forced to go in, immediately tell the abortion clinic that you do not consent to an abortion. if the clinic performs the scheduled abortion, YOU WILL SUE.”

When they arrived, the adult with Nikki went into the abortion clinic and demanded the clinic perform the abortion anyway. Thanks be to God, Liberty Counsel had put the fear of litigation into the abortion staff, so they refused to proceed with the abortion.

Our dedicated attorney immediately went to work with a pro-life pregnancy clinic to find help. Nikki and her unborn child are now safe.
