Why are Senate members dragging their feet?

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) bluntly contends that this is a fight between the American people and “the swamp.”

“The Senate should side with the people — not the Swamp.”

This is not a fringe issue — it’s a unifying one. According to Pew Research Center, 83% of Americans support requiring ID to vote, including strong majorities of both Republicans and Democrats.
