Congress Must Act NOW to Secure Our Elections 

The clock is ticking.

Before the next midterm elections, Congress has one final opportunity to strengthen election integrity and restore confidence in our voting system. 

The SAVE America Act — the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act — would require proof of citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. 

But Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) is dragging his feet on bringing the measure to the floor for a vote!

Earlier this year, the Save America Act passed the House of Representatives as part of S 1383. Now that bill as well as the original Act’s counterpart, S 3752, sits before the U.S. Senate, where their future remains uncertain. 

Majority Leader Thune spent 100 million dollars in a losing bid to reelect TX Senator John Cornyn, but not one cent on the SAVE America Act, which would prevent our elections from being stolen! 

President Trump is demanding Sen. Thune get moving on this issue! 

If Congress fails to act, America could head into another election cycle without implementing one of the most basic safeguards supported by an overwhelming majority of Americans. 

According to Pew Research Center, 83% of Americans support requiring government-issued photo identification to vote, including 95% of Republicans and 71% of Democrats. 

This isn't a partisan issue. It's an American issue.  

Every legitimate voter deserves confidence that elections are conducted fairly, securely, and transparently. Every lawful vote should count. And every safeguard that protects the integrity of our elections should be seriously considered. 

Yet despite broad public support, Senate leaders are wavering on whether to advance this critical legislation.
