URGENT: Oral Arguments TOMORROW!

Mar 16, 2026

The future of Christian education is on trial tomorrow

Tomorrow, Liberty Counsel will step into one of the most consequential legal battles facing Christian education in America. I will present oral augments before a federal Court of Appeals in Virginia.

The case — Zinski v. Liberty University — could determine whether faith-based schools are allowed to operate according to their biblical beliefs — or whether activist groups can force them to abandon the doctrine that defines their mission.

The ACLU is trying to set a precedent that would force Christian institutions to adopt policies that directly contradict their faith. Liberty Counsel is fighting back — but we need your help.

Right now, a special Challenge Grant will DOUBLE every gift made to support this legal defense. Will you make a gift today to defend Christian schools’ religious freedom? Your donation will be DOUBLED through this special Challenge Grant.

Here’s what happened.

Jonathan Zinski applied for a job at Liberty University and agreed to follow the school’s doctrinal statement — which clearly affirms the biblical teaching that people are created male and female in the image of God.

But even before Zinski accepted the job, and throughout the probationary employment period, Zinski had been taking estrogen and pursuing a “gender transition.” Once his employment probation ended, he demanded Liberty call him by a female name, use female pronouns, and allow him to “present” as a woman on campus. When Liberty University upheld its doctrinal standards, Zinski filed a lawsuit.

Now the ACLU is attempting to use this case to force Christian schools to abandon their biblical convictions about sexuality and gender. If they succeed, the consequences could be nationwide. Every Christian school, church, and ministry could face pressure to hire or retain employees whose conduct openly contradicts their faith.

This is about far more than one employment dispute. It is about whether Christian institutions will remain free to live out the truth of Scripture.

Liberty Counsel has prepared a vigorous defense, and I will present oral arguments tomorrow. Depending on the results of tomorrow’s hearing, this case could ultimately reach the U.S. Supreme Court. But legal battles of this magnitude require tremendous resources.

Please give a generous gift today to help Liberty Counsel defend Christian education — and remember, every dollar you give right now will be DOUBLED.

Your support today helps defend:

• Christian universities and schools nationwide.

• Churches and faith-based ministries.

• The freedom to live and teach biblical truth without government interference.

The stakes could not be higher. Liberty University has spent decades “Training Champions for Christ.” But that mission — and the mission of many Christian institutions across America — is at risk if activist lawsuits succeed.

Together, we can stand for religious freedom and protect the future of Christian education.

Please pray for the legal team as we present oral arguments tomorrow. With your support, Liberty Counsel can continue fighting for truth, freedom, and the next generation of Christian students.
