One court case could destroy Christian education

Liberty Counsel is battling the ACLU in Zinski v. Liberty University

TODAY, I will enter one of the most consequential legal battles in the nation — one that will impact the future of Christian schools and ministries nationwide. The oral argument in Zinski v. Liberty University will test whether faith-based institutions retain the right to operate according to their biblical beliefs.

The ACLU wants to force Christian churches, schools, and institutions to hire drag queens, transvestites, and transgenders.

Jonathan Zinski purposefully deceived Liberty University about his ongoing “gender transition.” He had been taking estrogen for months before affirming Liberty University's (LU) employment policies in which he agreed to abide by the Doctrinal Statement. This statement of belief could not be more clear, namely that people are created in the image of God as male or female. The moment his probationary employment period ended, Zinski demanded that Liberty call him “Elleanor,” use female pronouns, and allow him to wear women’s clothing and makeup to work on campus.

Zinski’s ENTIRE premise and motivation was to FORCE LU to accept and promote “gender transitioning” (which, by the way, is impossible).

President Trump recognized “detransitioner” Sage Blair in his 2026 State of the Union address. Public school officials secretly deceived Sage without her parent’s knowledge or consent. Their lies led then-14-year-old Sage to be s*x trafficked and repeatedly r*ped. Then a judge threw Sage into an all-boys group home where she was further abused.

Praise God, Sage is finally safe back in her parents’ home, has “detransitioned,” and has a full-ride scholarship to Liberty University. But if Jonathan Zinski had his way, Liberty University would be promoting the deviant “trans” agenda that Sage escaped.

Sage’s story shows our case is not simply about an employment dispute. It is about whether the LGBTQ can force Christian institutions to abandon the doctrine that defines their mission. If LU loses this appeal, every Christian school, church, and ministry in America will face pressure to hire or retain employees whose actions or beliefs contradict their core religious convictions, including cross-dressers, “trans,” “furry,” and/or any other “Q,” aka “queer” identifying person.
