Obergefell Being Used to Discriminate Against Christians

This decision MUST be overturned to save religious freedom

For 10 long years, the “queer” movement has used the erroneous Obergefell “marriage” opinion to silence, censor, and bankrupt good people over their religious beliefs.

More than HALF of our current cases are defending Christians against LGBTQ attack. I have listed just a handful of these outrageous cases below, and our phones continue to ring with more pleas for help every single day. These attacks stem from the 2015 Obergefell opinion that deconstructed gender in a gender-based union.

The “queer” movement seeks to silence and punish ALL Christians for their faith, and Obergefell is the source of their attacks. Now we are taking the issue to the U.S. Supreme Court, and we need YOUR help.

The U.S. Supreme Court will soon conference on our case, Davis v. Ermold. Two homosexual men are suing Kim because she used her state, federal, and constitutionally guaranteed religious freedom rights. They wanted to FORCE Kim to put her name on their marriage certificate. No one else’s name would do. When Kim exercised her rights, they decided to SUE her for their “hurt feelings.”

We’re taking this case to the High Court for two reasons. First, if a person can be sued for using their constitutionally guaranteed rights, then those rights no longer exist.

Second, for 10 long years, the wrongful Obergefell opinion has been used as a weapon to bludgeon and bankrupt people of faith.

We are representing students, teachers, military members, counselors, corporate employees, small businesses, and everyday Christian Americans who have been harassed, sued, and even fired from their jobs for the mere act of being Bible-believing Christians. The following list is a very small sample:

  1. Bickford v. Bradeen: The judge banned the mother from taking her own child to church, because the church teaches that marriage is between one man and one woman and stands against “trans” ideology. The Court is treating the church as if it were a “cult.”
  2. Calvary Chapel Maine church property sale: LGBTQ advocates are trying to block a real estate sale to a church because they accuse the church of “hate speech” for its biblical teaching on marriage and sexuality.
  3. CEF: Multiple cases nationwide: Schools are attempting to ban Child Evangelism Fellowship’s Good News Clubs while promoting and hosting LGBTQ clubs.
  4. Chiles v. Salazar & Change Counsel cases (pending before the U.S. Supreme Court): LGBTQ pressure caused more than 100 cities and states to unconstitutionally ban Christian talk therapy for people seeking to heal unwanted gender dysphoria.
  5. Etsy coffee mug maker: LGBTQ accused a Christian artist of “discrimination” for refusing to create a pro-LGBTQ coffee mug that violates the artist’s religious beliefs.
  6. Grossenbach v. University of AZ: U of AZ professor fired for speaking out at his children’s school board meeting against LGBTQ indoctrination in his children's school.
  7. Davis v. Ermold (pending before the U.S. Supreme Court): Kim Davis is being sued into bankruptcy for using her right to religious accommodation, which protected her from affixing her name on a license that violates God’s design for marriage.
  8. Los Angeles librarian fired: For refusing to participate in LGBTQ transgender ideals, in this case by refusing to use biologically incorrect pronouns.
  9. LGBTQ teacher v. Bible club teacher: A California LGBTQ teacher relentlessly harassed one Bible club teacher until she quit. When the second Bible club teacher refused to quit, he began filing bogus complaints against the women because he hated that she was spreading Christianity in after-school Bible clubs.

Obergefell is the root cause. . .

Kim Davis was the first victim of Obergefell, and as Justice Thomas noted, she won’t be the last as long as Obergefell stands. In Justice Alito's dissent on June 26, 2015, he warned that Christians and people of faith would face discrimination and persecution because of the mess made by “five lawyers” in Obergefell.

The five lawyers in Obergefell decided that gender was irrelevant in a clearly established gender-based relationship (marriage between a man and a woman). If gender does not matter in marriage, then it does not matter in any reality. Men can pretend to be women. Men can kick women out of sports and invade their private spaces. And if you object, you are the evil to be eradicated.

Obergefell is the cancer, and it must go. It is incompatible with reality, biology, and religious freedom.

Our current caseload proves this erroneous decision is destroying EVERYONE’s religious freedom and therefore MUST be overturned.
