Draining the Swamp Doesn’t Happen Overnight 

Liberty Counsel petitions Trump’s DOJ over employees still being harmed by Joe Biden’s anti-Christian discrimination policies.

Last week, at the invitation of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Liberty Counsel met with DOJ officials and presented a catalog of religious discrimination cases. At the top of my list is Martin* — a career special agent with the U.S. State Department’s Diplomatic Security Service. Thanks to Biden policies still in effect, Martin has been stuck in career limbo for nearly five years because he refused to sign a document that banned him from attending church.

Martin wasn’t the kind of guy to proselytize his co-workers. But his co-workers and supervisors within the federal government became acutely aware of Martin’s faith when they tried to make him sign a document that would have precluded him from attending worship services on his own time.

When Martin refused to sign the unlawful document, one of his co-workers filed a false complaint against the Diplomatic Service veteran accusing him of being a “white nationalist” simply because of his Christian faith.

Ever eager to punish Christians, the Biden administration brought disciplinary charges against Martin based SOLELY on his expression of faith through symbols, prayers, and adherence to traditional values displayed on his social media account(s) and an online dating profile.

Unfortunately, the Trump administration has not corrected Joe Biden’s error — yet. Liberty Counsel is fighting to change that.

Since then, Martin’s career has been put on ice. He has been denied the pay raises and promotions that have been due him for five years while this matter has been pending. Although the matter was recently closed due to the change in leadership, Martin has not been made whole for the losses sustained over the long period during which his career was stalled on account of Joe Biden’s religious discrimination.

President Trump has done an excellent job of draining the swamp that has sucked our government nearly to the abyss. He even issued Executive Order 14202, “Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias,” on February 6 of this year. The executive order makes it the official “policy of the United States, and the purpose of this order, to protect the religious freedoms of Americans and end the anti-Christian weaponization of government.”

But many victims of Biden’s “woke” anti-Christian swamp are still fighting for justice. Liberty Counsel is leading the fight for religious freedom.

Daniel was fired from his University of Arizona professorship for speaking out against a secret LGBTQ gender program at his son’s high school.

Michael was fired from his prison chaplain job for refusing to do something his religion forbids.

Mark’s employer retaliated against him for refusing to participate in employer-sponsored LGBTQ “Pride” parades and celebrations.

David was removed from his command in the Army National Guard and scheduled to be discharged after an LGBTQ service member complained about having to report to a Christian.

Kim is being sued into bankruptcy for having the gall to actually use her hard-won, lawful and rightful religious freedom accommodation.

After eight years of Obama/Biden’s attempt to officially classify Christians as “white nationalists” and “domestic terror threats,” followed by another four years of rabid anti-Christian discrimination by whoever was running Joe Biden’s White House, there are scores and scores of government and private sector employees being punished over their First Amendment right to religious freedom.
