We’re suing MI Gov. Gretchen Whitmer

Oct 28, 2024

Prisha had borderline personality disorder, so her doctors decided to treat her mental health condition by cutting off her breasts and chemically sterilizing her. Crazy as it sounds, it’s true!

Ten years later, Prisha is coming out of the horrors she suffered at the hands of the trans industry, thanks to finally receiving proper care for her mental health diagnosis.

But Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has now BANNED the lifesaving Christian counseling that has saved the lives of countless girls like Prisha. On July 26, 2023, Gov. Whitmer banned Christian change counseling for minors.

We're suing MI Gov. Gretchen Whitmer! Help us protect girls like Prisha by supporting our legal fund today. Every gift will be DOUBLED by a Challenge Grant.

Whitmer had been promoting Christian change counseling ban since at least 2021 — not long after she shut down the entire state, locked people in their houses, bankrupted innumerable businesses, and even threatened to arrest people for using motorized boats during her draconian COVID lockdowns.

At age 15, Prisha had an existing mental health diagnosis of borderline personality disorder (BPD). But living in a university town in the very liberal state of Michigan, Prisha’s doctors were eager to treat the young woman with the new trend of “gender-affirming care” instead of treating her existing mental health diagnosis. The girl was rushed down the road of cross-sex hormones and mutilating surgery.

Prisha and her parents say the doctors manipulated them into medical “transitioning.” At the time, Prisha says her mental health condition felt unbearable. “So, I just took the cure that was handed to me,” she says. “I was told that I was being given a cure and that I wouldn't want to kill myself anymore.”

Prisha was put on testosterone, and then underwent a double mastectomy, removing both of her healthy breasts shortly after she turned 18.

But surgery and hormones didn't make things better. It made them worse. As the years went by, Prisha realized she was more miserable than before. She sought out a therapist who would treat her original mental health condition. It made all the difference in the world.

Now 25 years old, Prisha has “detransitioned” and is living as a woman. But a lot of grief and anger remain.

Christian change counseling SAVES LIVES. Help us overturn Whitmer’s ban by supporting our legal fund today.

“I have borderline personality disorder, and I know for a fact that this is the reason for my [dysphoria],” Prisha says. “It is a very difficult mental illness and one of the core features is not having any sense of self or identity. My doctors KNEW this,” yet they chose to treat her mental health disorder with highly profitable yet permanently damaging chemicals and surgeries, instead of the therapy Prisha actually needed.

“I really feel like some people in the trans community and the trans-medicalists and the doctors really, really target the most vulnerable of us.”

“I lost my voice, I lost my chest, I don’t know if I am ever going to be able to have kids,” Prisha gasped through tears.

“I can't believe this happened,” says Prisha, now 25. “I ruined my life. When you break it down, I decided that I didn’t want to be a woman, before I had ever even experienced what it means to be a woman. I had no idea what being a woman was like because I was a child. Now I feel like I will never entirely know.”

Prisha is speaking out now in hopes of saving other girls from the fate she has suffered. She now advocates for proper mental health care.

But Prisha and girls like her won’t be able to get proper mental health care in one of the more than 80 cities and states that have banned change counseling — including Gretchen Whitmer’s Michigan.

Rather than treating temporary gender dysphoria with permanent and damaging solutions of chemical cocktails and mutilating surgery, change counseling uses talk therapy to address underlying mental health concerns.

Gov. Whitmer isn’t the only politician to have banned Christian change counseling. Minnesota governor turned vice presidential candidate Tim Walz has banned change counseling in his state. So has Kentucky’s Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear who, as you may recall, Liberty Counsel successfully sued after he had every member of our client’s church cited for attending parking-lot Easter services during COVID. We’re suing Walz and Beshear over their unlawful, anti-Christian bans as well.

Why does the pro-LGBTQ and “trans-medical” community hate change counseling? Because it works. Change counseling has been proven to successfully resolve gender dysphoria. And because it is proven to work, change counseling defeats the LGBTQ lie that a child can be born in the wrong body.

Rather than accept the plain truth, the radical left has sought to BAN this lifesaving practice in more than 100 cities and states nationwide. Liberty Counsel has overturned 23 of these bans, freeing people in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida to seek and receive the counseling of their choice. But more than 80 bans remain. Liberty Counsel will continue to fight and sue until each and every ban is overturned — including those bans enacted by Gretchen Whitmer, Tim Walz, and Andy Beshear.

We need your help to fight the evil seeking to destroy our children, especially our girls. A special Challenge Grant has been established to DOUBLE the impact of every donation to our legal fund today. Please give generously.

Help us stop HR 15 — the so-called “Equality Act.” This bill seeks to expand “gender-affirming care” while also banning change counseling nationwide. This bill needs only a few more votes to pass. We must stop this madness NOW before even one more child is put under the trans-medicalist’s knife.
