Dec 24, 2022
After working tirelessly for 33 years, Liberty Counsel participated in history when, on June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court cited our powerful amicus brief when it overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade and 1992 Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey abortion decisions.
Our fight now moves to the states, as we defend the unborn against the abortionist’s knife. As we pause tomorrow to remember the birth of our Savior, please take a moment to consider the children whose lives continue to be threatened by abortion. —Mat
Please, help us save the unborn, and a generous Challenge Grant will DOUBLE THE IMPACT of every donation made today. But hurry! The Challenge Grant expires at midnight, December 31!

Since its inception, Liberty Counsel has been unshakably dedicated to protecting and defending human life, from the moment of conception until natural death. Over the decades, the legal ministry has filed numerous briefs to protect the unborn and to show the inherent value in human life. In fact, the first case I argued before the U.S. Supreme Court was in 1994 in defense of pro-life sidewalk counselors.
Furthermore, Liberty Counsel was directly involved in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the case at the epicenter of Roe’s demise. On July 26, 2021, Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief on behalf of a diverse group of organizations, churches, religious leaders and individuals—including 70,000 African American and Hispanic churches—asking the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade because, among other reasons, legalized abortion supports racist eugenics and violates the right to life.
But the unborn are not yet safe! Planned Parenthood is behind a surge of “abortion sanctuary” laws enabling abortion in numerous states.
Abortion is rooted in racism and eugenics to eliminate certain races and people. Planned Parenthood continues Margaret Sanger’s legacy of eliminating unborn children based on their race. The battle for life has intensified.
When the Supreme Court issued its 79-page opinion on Dobbs, Justice Samuel Alito wrote, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. ... Roe was egregiously wrong from the start. … It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”
I and every member of Liberty Counsel were overjoyed with this historic overturn. But even as we celebrate the immense victory of the High Court overturning Roe v. Wade, Liberty Counsel’s work is not done.
We now turn our attention and effort to the states where the battle over preborn life rages on. We will not rest until the womb is a safe place for the unborn.
Liberty Counsel has been developing sample legislation for state legislatures to protect the unborn, even as we prepare to end abortion in state courts across the country. We are filing briefs at multiple state Supreme Courts in defense of life.
Please help us continue the fight for the unborn on the state level. Every donation made by 11:59 p.m., your time zone, on December 31 will be DOUBLED IN IMPACT by a generous year-end Challenge Grant. Please, give generously today!
Finally, Anita and I, and our entire Liberty Counsel family, wish you and yours the merriest of Christmases. May the Lord bless you and keep you in the year to come.
