Today you’ll hear from Elizabeth, “Jane Doe 5” in our class action lawsuit defending Illinois health care workers. I also have excellent news to share about this case! Read on. —Mat
Elizabeth* is “Jane Doe 5” in Liberty Counsel’s class action lawsuit against NorthShore University HealthSystem, which unlawfully denied health care workers religious exemptions from the shot mandate.
Being a nurse, Elizabeth says, is a calling from God. She believes that NorthShore is the place God called her to serve injured and ill people.
Elizabeth recovered from COVID in December 2020. As an ER nurse, she knows that once someone has had an illness, taking a vaccine for the same illness is dangerous.
But Elizabeth’s objection to the COVID jabs is a matter of her Christian faith. And because of that faith, Elizabeth is now relentlessly harassed at work.
DEFEND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM & END THE SHOT MANDATES!
All the available COVID shots were created and/or tested using aborted fetal cells. Elizabeth’s deep faith prohibits her from taking any drug derived from or tested using aborted fetal cell lines.
When NorthShore informed all of its employees the company would be mandating the COVID jabs, Elizabeth submitted her religious exemption request … and that’s when the trouble began.
Elizabeth’s manager began harassing her to take the jab. The fact that she had submitted a religious exemption request did not phase her manager one bit. Harassment, shocking intimidation tactics and threats increased—all because of Elizabeth’s Christian faith.
The overt persecution has caused Elizabeth psychological distress, severe anxiety and even panic attacks. Yet, despite the pressure, she will not cave to NorthShore’s harassment.
Liberty Counsel filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of Elizabeth and her co-workers against Northshore University HealthSystem on October 25, 2021.
Victory in the intensifying battle ...
We won a major victory when an Illinois federal court issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against NorthShore on October 29. We will be returning to court later this month.
Sadly, NorthShore had already started purging employees with sincere religious objections to its “Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy” by removing them from the work schedule.
NorthShore previously granted exemptions, but then revoked them in mid-September. NorthShore then unlawfully required their entire vaccination history since the age of 18, which it did not previously request.
NorthShore also warned that all religious objections based on “aborted fetal cell lines, stem cells, tissue or derivative materials will result in denials.”
The fact is, all the available COVID shots used aborted fetal cell lines in their testing and/or development. For our clients, to be connected directly or indirectly—no matter how near or far—with the murder of children by abortion is to them a sin against God!
The restraining order the court granted will protect Elizabeth and her fellow employees and their jobs as our full case makes its way through the courts.
Please be in prayer for our next hearing on November 16!
DEFEND RELIGIOUS LIBERTY and END THE SHOT MANDATES!
The battle rages on ...
In addition to our Illinois case, we have an upcoming hearing on November 15 for our massive class action lawsuit, Navy SEAL 1 v. Biden.
We are advising the “U.S. Freedom Flyers,” more than 35,000 passenger and cargo workers in the airline, train and over-the-road transportation sectors. And we are helping tens of thousands of people facing these mandates.
Our staff is often moved to tears as we speak to callers, and we pray with many of them daily. We have trained more than 80 Affiliate Attorneys to help us, yet the incredible need is still overwhelming our resources.
Never before has Liberty Counsel been so besieged by desperate requests. We need your help as never before. Even if you’ve already sent a gift of support, or even several gifts, please send a special gift today. And please pray for our team to overcome these outrageous mandates!
Help us DEFEND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM!
