Impeachment and Churches — Is There a Pattern?

Democrats and a handful of RINOs want to "impeach" not just private citizen Donald Trump, but anyone who dares champion the Judeo-Christian values upon which America was founded. The "Hate Trump and his Supporters" movement is barreling ahead at full speed in Washington, DC. This week, Democrat Nancy Pelosi sent articles of impeachment to the Senate.

Republican Mitch McConnell initially released a statement saying he "looks forward" to processing them—even though former presidents cannot be impeached—but he appears to have changed his mind after hearing from many of you.

Article 2, Sections 1 & 4 of the U.S. Constitution are crystal clear – impeachment may only be used to remove a president from office. Donald J. Trump is a private citizen and is not holding office. And the House "impeachment" was a complete sham. No witnesses. No evidence. No defense. No due process.
 

Further, Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has refused to preside over this kangaroo trial. Article 1, Section 3 of the Constitution requires that the Chief Justice preside over a presidential impeachment trial in the Senate, but Chief Justice Roberts did not want to be party to it.

Rather, Democrat Senator Patrick Leahy will preside over the kangaroo court. He voted to convict Trump last year. Because he also intends to vote as a juror, he will be both judge and jury. The entire process is patently unconstitutional.

Unfortunately, the Constitution has rarely stopped radical Washington socialists from getting what they want. What DOES make politicians think twice, however, is the overwhelming voice of the people! And that is why we need to FLOOD their fax machines with protests NOW.

Not surprisingly, the worst restrictions on churches come from Democrat governors. Repressive systems always target the church and try to silence and punish dissenters.

As I mentioned yesterday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recently issued a strange opinion. On January 22, a panel of judges on another case ruled the CA restrictions on churches with between 100 and 200 people in Tiers 2-3 violate religious freedom guarantees. But the panel of three judges also ruled that the total ban on worship in Tier 1 (almost all of CA) is fine.

That ruling makes NO sense. This Monday, our different panel of three judges (whom I expect to rule in our favor) said they were now bound by this prior ruling from the same court.

Last night, we filed our emergency appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court along with the hundreds of pages of our legal case.

I believe we will receive a more impactful ruling from the High Court. Continue to pray for our case with Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry.

The reality is that the attack on our churches and the desire to silence you stems from the same "Government is god" mentality that is driving the impeachment farce. The people demanding that churches close are the same people demanding that anyone who loves God and America must be silenced and eliminated from the public eye and government service—forever.

I recognize that is a bold statement to make, but the Democrats' own public words make their intentions unmistakably clear:
  • Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants an "enemies list" made of Trump supporters.
  • Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL) wants anyone who supported Trump to be permanently barred from military service or federal employment.
  • Ben Rhoades, former Deputy National Security Advisor for Obama and Biden's last term, suggested Trump supporters be marked with a "permanent stain" and then "detoxed" through the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Former Democrat Sen. Claire McCaskill wants Trump supporters "deprogrammed" and even suggested "re-education camps."
  • John Brennan, CIA chief under the Obama/Biden administration, is calling for Americans who supported Trump to be treated the way "insurgents" are treated overseas.
