The trial in Planned Parenthood’s flimsy revenge suit targeting Sandra Merritt is taking a brief break and resumes next Thursday. Here’s a rundown of some of the “best” and “worst” moments so far . . . 

• SANDRA MERRITT TURNED THE TABLES on Planned Parenthood’s high-priced lawyers when they called her as a witness early in the trial. “Sandra did a GREAT job and shredded Planned Parenthood’s case,” said Harry Mihet, Liberty Counsel Chief Litigation Counsel. “Planned Parenthood had almost NOTHING to say in response. It was POWERFUL!” 

• U.S. DISTRICT COURT JUDGE WILLIAM ORRICK banned testimony in court about abortion procedures, including how organ harvesters cut beating hearts from living babies in Planned Parenthood abortion facilities. Judge Orrick has past ties to Planned Parenthood. He helped open and run a Planned Parenthood abortion referral center in San Francisco.

• "COUNSELOR, YOU GOT ME!" a Planned Parenthood abortionist confessed after Liberty Counsel attorney Harry Mihet caught him in a big lie. Abortionist Thomas Moran testified that he was very "anxious" that he would be publicly outed as an abortion provider after he was filmed in the undercover investigation.

But his story went up in smoke after Harry confronted him with an online petition he signed, listing him as an abortion provider and a “loud and clear advocate” for unlimited abortion.

• SHOCKING TESTIMONY ABOUT SCALPING BABIES was presented by one of Sandra’s co-defendants. He said human scalps harvested from little babies were being used for a study on baldness.

• “I WANT A LAMBORGHINI!” ABORTIONIST Dr. Mary Gatter slipped up big-time on the witness stand. Judge Orrick excluded her inflammatory reference to the sports car from the trial. But when she mentioned the video in which she made her infamous remark, Liberty Counsel attorney Harry Mihet grabbed the wheel and roared through the opening.

“Objections flew left and right,” Harry said, “but the court overruled them.” In the end, Gatter had to admit her words in court: “I said I wanted a Lamborghini.” And she acknowledged that her remark was made in the context of negotiating the price Planned Parenthood was to be paid for baby body parts.

“Boom! You could hear a pin drop,” Harry reported. “The jury finally got a glimpse of who and what Planned Parenthood is.”

America’s abortion king, Planned Parenthood, thought it was putting our client, Sandra Merritt, on trial.

The truth is that Planned Parenthood put itself on trial.
