Friday, in federal court in San Francisco, a Planned Parenthood abortionist was caught in a lie. Our lead attorney, Harry Mihet, forced him to admit the truth. Here is Harry's report . . .

"Counselor, you got me!"

On Friday, those were probably the only true words uttered on the witness stand by Planned Parenthood's abortion doctor Thomas Moran, when he realized that the entire premise for his testimony had been exposed as a lie.

Planned Parenthood had called Moran to testify against Sandra Merritt, in its vindictive trial meant to punish her for exposing its unethical and illegal conduct in selling baby body parts. Under Planned Parenthood's questioning, Moran testified that he was very "anxious" when he learned that he was filed in the undercover investigation because he feared he would be publicly outed as an abortion provider.

Moran testified that he had NEVER posted anything online about his abortion work, that he kept a low profile and that he doesn't "draw attention" to his abortion work. On the basis of his "anxiety" of being outed, Planned Parenthood asked the jury to award it "damages."

When I cross examined him, however, Moran's entire manufactured story unraveled. I confronted him with a public, online petition that Moran had signed. with his name described as an abortion provider, pledging to be a "loud and clear advocate" for unlimited abortion rights. I asked him if this was consistent with his low profile and not drawing attention to his abortion work.

Moran's first reaction was, "Um, a teeny bit of embarrassment."

I pressed him further, and showed him an online, public abortion training manual that Moran helped author and publish, and that he was publicly thanked for his contribution. Moran said he was "proud" of his contribution.

At the end, when I confronted Moran that his earlier sworn testimony about keeping a low profile, avoiding attention, and never publishing anything about his abortion work, was untrue, Moran's response was: "Counselor, you got me."

Planned Parenthood's entire case is a sham built on perjury and lies. Pray that the jury sees the Truth.

+ + Judge censors truth

But what makes revealing the truth all the more difficult as we defend Sandra is that U.S. District Judge William Orrick is censoring key information from the trial.

Friday, Liberty Counsel attorney Harry Mihet referred to the online petition abortionist Moran signed which also rejected parental notification when their minor daughters seek abortions. And then Harry asked this question:

"Is it your view, then, that a 15-year-old patient should be able to visit your offices at Planned Parenthood and have an abortion without her parents being notified of that?"

Planned Parenthood immediately objected, the judge sustained, and Moran never answered. Judge Orrick—who has past ties to Planned Parenthood—said: "we're not going into specific issues relating to these different abortion issues that are not relevant to the specific issues in this case."

+ + One-sided and unfair

But the judge's decision to exclude key testimony on parental notification was egregiously one-sided. He permitted Planned Parenthood to cross examine one of Sandra's co-defendants about how he led three (unsuccessful) voter initiatives to pass a parental notification amendment to California's constitution.

Planned Parenthood argues that this is "extreme" and that Sandra's undercover journalism exposing Planned Parenthood's heinous trade in baby body parts is "extreme" conduct.
