We are hearing from pastors who are complaining that Barry Lynn and Americans United for Separation of Church and State once again have cluttered mailboxes and jammed fax machines with the same worn out, toothless letter that attempts to scare churches and trick pastors into being silent about moral issues until after the election.
Lynn's misleading letter to pastors and churches is little different than outright voter intimidation! It is designed to have same effect as telling churchgoers to stay home on election day. Lynn even wants churches to stop providing voter guides, although there is nothing in IRS regulations that forbids churches from distributing nonpartisan voter guides.
Liberty Counsel is calling on pastors to stand up to Lynn and his radical organization. If your church has received their letter, fax Barry Lynn at (202) 466-2587 and tell him to stop harassing pastors!
There are a wide variety of lawful activities that churches can undertake to activate voters and encourage them to vote their values, including supporting marriage and pro-life amendments, distributing voter guides and preaching on moral issues. Liberty Counsel has voter guides suitable for distribution in churches available at www.LC.org.
We are also providing a link on our Voter Guide page to a speech by former Congressman Bob McEwen, who spoke at Liberty University on Monday. McEwen explained very clearly why the upcoming election is so important and why Christians need to vote.

YOU CAN STILL SAVE MARRIAGE!
As you know by now, marriage amendments are on the ballot in Florida, California and Arizona. These must pass in order to stop the spread of same-sex "marriage" across America. Our opponents are very devious and will stoop to anything to defeat the amendment. So far, they have been defacing pro-marriage signs, telling lies in order to scare senior citizens and others into voting "NO," and in some cases even assaulting marriage supporters! They will stop at nothing to win. We must press on.
