Today the Florida Supreme Court ruled 5-0 that Florida law does not recognize claims for "false light invasion of privacy." The landmark ruling means that the media, churches, nonprofit groups, and individuals may publish truthful information about a person without fear of a lawsuit for placing the person in a "false light."

VA Prayer Rally on Saturday for Persecuted Police Chaplains

Mat Staver will speak at a prayer rally in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday, November 1 from 10 – 11 am, in support of the six Virginia State Police Chaplains who resigned their chaplain posts rather than agreeing to stop praying "in Jesus' name." The "Virginia, Stand Up For Jesus Prayer Rally" will be held at the Capitol Square Bell Tower, 900 Bank Street, in downtown Richmond.

This nonpartisan rally will include remarks from pastors, policymakers, political, civic, and church leaders, a praise band, and a time of prayer for the chaplains, the Nation and government leaders. At least 86 Virginia pastors have pledged to mobilize their churches in support of the chaplains. The rally is expected to be very well attended.

Former Navy Chaplain, Gordon James Klingenschmitt, who organized the rally, is encouraging everyone who supports religious freedom to attend the prayer rally. Additional information is online at www.prayinjesusname.org.
