Today, Mat Staver will be a guest on CNN Headline News on the show “Prime News” hosted by Mike Galanos at 5:45 p.m. ET.

The topic will be President Obama's request that American school children spend more days in school. He stated that our current year is based on an out-of-date calendar of kids helping on the family farm. Obama claims that this is the only way for our educational system to compete with other countries, but his reasoning is flawed. American children already spend more hours per year in school than children in many other Asian countries that persistently outscore the U.S. on math and science tests.
