Educating Voters and Empowering Pastors to Address Moral Issues and "Get Out the Vote"

"Electrifying the Electorate" is a new voter education and registration project announced by Liberty Counsel today. Just 60 days remain in one of the most historic elections in United States history.

To advance this project, Liberty Counsel is promoting nonpartisan voter guides as a way to educate Americans about the presidential candidates' views on important issues facing this Nation. We have reviewed, approved and posted voter guides on our Web site at www.LC.org. These nonpartisan voter guides are approved for distribution by everyone, including churches and nonprofit organizations.

The voter guides give the positions of both presidential candidates on a wide variety of issues, including the human life amendment, traditional marriage, gun rights, business freedom, taxes, "gay pride", the Iraq war and education. The voter guides and resource materials regarding political activity of pastors, churches and nonprofit organizations are on Liberty Counsel’s special voter information page, where citizens can also register to vote.

Other voter guides and resource materials regarding political activity of pastors, churches and nonprofit organizations are on our special voter information page where you can also register to vote. Access all of these resources for free at www.LC.org.

We are also offering our updated a package including a DVD and handbook entitled "Pastors, Churches and Political Activity." In this DVD, Mathew Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, addresses what pastors and church leaders can do regarding voter education, registration, and get-out-the vote measures. This DVD also addresses the laws regarding supporting or opposing candidates, and permissible activity regarding legislation and voter initiatives including supporting marriage amendments.

Pastors can get a free copy of this DVD by calling 800-671-1776. We have already given away thousand copies to pastors.

We need your financial support to provide thousands more of these DVDs to pastors at no cost. You can donate online at www.LC.org (click the "Donate" button or add a donation when you order your copy of the DVD.)

Forward this Liberty Alert to your entire e-mail list of family and friends, and encourage them to subscribe.
