Liberty Counsel Hosts Summer Interns

Jul 23, 2019

Throughout the year Liberty Counsel provides internship opportunities in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Florida. Depending on their interests, the interns receive training in law, public policy, government, media, communications, and more. Interns in the nation’s capital meet with members and staff of all three branches of government, including administrative agencies. They visit the White House, the Capitol Building, and the Supreme Court.

Law students participate in actual significant legal cases of national importance. Undergraduate students gain experience in research, writing, media production, and public relations. Some of their final work product is adapted into legal and legislative briefs, memos, legislation, and media.

“The reason I entered the internship at Liberty Counsel is because my ultimate dream is to work for an organization like LC. The desire to join the fight for the unborn and religious liberty lives on. But I now hope to do so through law and, after passing law school and the bar, in a firm that believes in these issues as much as I do.” – Katelin, Law Student

“I am passionate about being not only an advocate for people, but also an advocate for Christ. It is truly amazing how the Lord has worked in my life to get me here to law school. So how can I not serve Him? I am so excited to be working in an area of the law that will be advancing the cause of Christ. I look at my work this summer as an opportunity to be a missionary for Christ. The whole reason I chose Liberty Counsel for my summer externship is because I want to make a difference! I desperately want a life filled with purpose, and I cannot think of a more purposeful way to spend my summer.” – Madison, Law Student

“As a Christian, my aim is to glorify God by being a voice for the voiceless, shining light on areas that need the truth, and reporting facts with accuracy and integrity. I am delighted for the opportunity to intern with Liberty Counsel. By interning with Liberty Counsel, I hope that I may in some small way work to restore our First Amendment rights that give journalists their very freedom.” – Melissa, Undergraduate Rising Senior

“I have the pleasure of interning at Liberty Counsel which affords me with the opportunity to learn about the work that goes into a non-profit Christian organization.” – Marcus, Undergraduate Rising Junior
