Liberty Counsel Defends Marriage in Texas and Indiana

Washington, DC—Liberty Counsel is defending natural marriage as the union of one man and one woman in Texas and Indiana in two amicus briefs: one brief to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans and another brief to Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago.

Natural marriage is not a political construct. It is neither liberal nor conservative. Natural marriage is part of the natural created order of men and women. Deconstructing the family into motherless or fatherless unions harms children. As a policy matter, same-sex ‘marriage’ says that children do not need fathers or mothers—that a male and female mom and dad are irrelevant. Such a policy statement hurts families, especially children. Children fare best when raised with a mom and a dad.
