Proposed Budget Funds Abortion

May 1, 2017

Congressional leaders say they reached an agreement yesterday on a spending bill that, if passed, will ensure that Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion mill, continues to receive federal funding through September.

Despite President Trump’s presidential promise to defund Planned Parenthood, weak Republican leaders caved to Democrat leaders to continue funding Planned Parenthood to the tune of about 330,000 abortions per year or 887 per day. Since 2004, Planned Parenthood has nearly doubled its federal funding to more than $550 million dollars per year, or about 40 percent of its annual revenue. While receiving $1.5 million per day in federal taxpayer money, breast exams and Pap smears have decreased by 60 to 77 percent. At the same time, abortions have increased by 27 percent.

Most of the proposed spending bill either does not include President Trump’s priorities, reduces them, or specifically goes against them.
