Today, in honor of civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr., national spiritual and political leaders joined with thousands of African American, Latino and other minority voices to rally against prenatal racial genocide perpetrated by Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood began as a eugenics organization designed to reduce minority populations, Roman Catholics, immigrants, and the so-called “unfit” through birth control and abortion. In Houston, Planned Parenthood purchased a six-story, 78,000-square-foot former bank building which it plans on opening in April and is situated among four communities, 80 percent of which are minorities.

The rally will be broadcast live beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT on http://www.ustream.tv/anitastaver. To kick off the event, about 10,000 people packed Grace Community Church last night for a five-hour prayer and praise meeting sponsored by TheCall. The sanctuary was overflowing with youth.

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, said: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” (Sanger’s letter to Clarence J. Gamble, 1939, December). In Pivot of Civilization, Sanger referred to immigrants and Roman Catholics as reckless breeders: “[They’re] an unceasingly spawning class of human beings who never should have been born at all.” (Sanger, p.187). In Women and the New Race, Sanger wrote, “The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” (Sanger, p. 63). In her publication, Birth Control Review, Sanger advocated creating farms to segregate “unfit” people to “safeguard” citizens from “heredity taints.”

Lou Engle of The Call to Conscience is the organizer of the event. Other nationwide leaders include Ken Blackwell of Conservative Action Project, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, Bishop Harry Jackson of High Impact Leadership Coalition, Star Parker of the Coalition for Urban Renewal & Education, Pastor Stephen Broden of Fair Park Bible Fellowship, Tony Perkins of Family Research Council, Dr. Richard Land of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director, and Mat Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law.

The time has come for all who respect human dignity to stop the killing. God is just. His justice will not sleep forever.
