House Stands with Israel - Rebukes UN and Obama

Jan 6, 2017

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed, on Thursday, a statement of opposition to a United Nations resolution that condemned Israel for its expansion of Jewish settlements on disputed land. The measure passed 342-80, garnering the support of both Republicans and Democrats in an effort to rebuild the U.S. partnership with Israel and reaffirm her right to exist as a Jewish, democratic state.

The resolution passed two days after leaders of both parties in the Senate signed onto a similar resolution, condemning the U.N. vote and warning the Obama administration not to take any further action against Israel.
