Pass the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act”!
Election security is one of the most important issues affecting the future and stability of our nation. Americans from all races and parties agree.
According to CNN reporting on a recent PEW poll:
Eighty-three percent of Americans support requiring a government issued ID to vote, including 71% of Democrats and 95% of Republicans
Americans across the political spectrum overwhelmingly support safeguards that ensure only eligible U.S. citizens vote in federal elections. I urge you to listen to the American people and do EVERYTHING in your power to urgently pass the SAVE America Act language before the midterm elections.
We cannot allow loopholes that permit non-citizens to register and vote in American elections.
The integrity of our Republic depends upon accurate voter rolls, secure elections, and public confidence in election outcomes.
The “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act” (SAVE America Act, S 3752 and/or S. 1383) is a critical step toward protecting election integrity by requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration in federal elections.
Congress must act NOW so these protections can be implemented in an orderly and effective manner before the next national election cycle.
It should be easy to vote and impossible to cheat.
